Care for Your Shoes

Like everything else, you want your shoes to serve you well and last a longer time. There is no point wearing a lovely dress if your shoes are in bad condition. Here are some simple guidelines:

Keep your shoes dry. Wear your shoes only in dry conditions.

If shoes are wet, let them dry naturally. Let them sit for at least 24 hours at room temperature. Do not use a blow drier, radiator or direct sunlight.

Use dehumidifier in shoes storage where possible.

For dance shoes, separate them from your street shoes. Carry them in a shoe bag.

If you dance everyday, have at least a second pair of dance shoes to wear on alternate days. Allow your shoes to rest and breathe, which will make them look better and last longer.

Clean your shoes regularly. Make sure you use cleaning products that are suitable for the material of your shoes, and follow the cleaning instructions accordingly.
